Armenian Dances: Part I

We performed the well-known wind band favourite, Armenian Dances: Part I, at the National Concert Band Festival finals on 15 April 2023 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. This was one of our three-piece programme that led to us being awarded the top “Platinum” award.

We performed this arrangement of Cantina Band, from the blockbuster movie Star Wars, at our Space Sensation concert on 14th March 2020 at All Saints Church, Wokingham.

Doris Day's Hits

We performed this fantastic medley of the late Doris Day’s best hits, arranged by Don Pryce, at our Summer Concert on 8th June 2019 at The Michael Malnick Centre, Leighton Park School in Reading.

Waterloo Sunset

Sax soloist Theresa Jones performed Waterloo Sunset, accompanied by Trinity Concert Band at the TCB Summer Concert on 8th June 2019 at The Michael Malnick Centre, Leighton Park School in Reading. ‘Waterloo Sunset’ is a song by British rock band The Kinks. Composed and produced by Kinks frontman Ray Davies, ‘Waterloo Sunset’ is one of the band’s best known and most acclaimed songs.

The Prayer

Vocal duet Indigo May sang this number, accompanied by Trinity Concert Band at the TCB Spring Concert on 16th March 2019 at All Saints Church, Wokingham. The Prayer was famously sung as a duet by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.

Jingle Bells

We performed Jingle Bells, arranged by Naohiro Iwai, at our Christmas Concert on 8th December 2019 at Reading Minster.

The Symphonic Marches - John Williams

We performed The Symphonic Marches by John Williams at the Reading University Great Hall on 1st October 2016. Featuring some of Williams’ finest works, this medley includes The Imperial March, Raider’s March and Olympic Fanfare and Theme.

Young Pheasants in the Sky

We performed Satoshi Yagisawa’s rousing fanfare at our Spring Concert on 16th March 2019 at All Saints Church, Wokingham. The first part of the piece is a fanfare suitable for opening ceremonies, and the second part is a lush chorale-like movement.

Blue Shades

We took on the challenge of Frank Ticheli’s fiendish Blue Shades at our concert at the Reading University Great Hall on 27th September 2014.

Queen Forever

Trinity Concert Band performed this fantastic medley of Queen songs at their concert on 16th March 2019 at All Saints Church, Wokingham. Arranged by Band Sergeant Dave Johnson, Queen Forever was previously performed by the Royal Marines Band Service at the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall.

Nigel Hess Conducts Trinity

After many years of playing the music of Nigel Hess, we were privileged to welcome the man himself to conduct the 2019 TCB workshop day. We worked on his fantastic East Coast Pictures and Shakespeare Pictures during this intensive day of music making, performing both to an audience at the end of the day.

You’ve got a Friend in Me (Sax Quartet)

This piece by Randy Newman was arranged for saxophone ensemble by Philippe Morilla and was recorded at our concert in the Reading University Great Hall on 21st October 2017. It is played by four of the band’s saxophone section.

The Lochnagar Suite: II. Dark Lochnagar

Dark Lochnagar from The Lochnagar Suite by Nigel Hess: performed by Trinity Concert Band at the National Concert Band Festival finals on 8 April 2018 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. This was the second of their three-piece programme. Trinity Concert Band were awarded the top “Platinum” award. Conductor: Paul Speed. Recording by Ann Harvey.
