Join Trinity Concert Band for a joyful summer evening of live music in the beautiful surroundings of All Saints Church, Wokingham.
As part of our 25th anniversary year, this special concert brings together some of our favourite repertoire alongside the return of much-loved guest vocal duo Indigo May. Their stunning vocal blend and captivating stage presence have made them firm favourites with Trinity audiences, and we’re delighted to welcome them back for this celebratory collaboration.
Our Sounds of Summer concert promises an entertaining and uplifting programme, featuring music from stage and screen, swing classics, and evocative works inspired by land and sea.
The programme includes:
- The Sound of Music – a delightful medley of beloved melodies from the classic film
- Far and Away – a sweeping and cinematic arrangement capturing the spirit and adventure of the much-loved film score
- September (Earth, Wind & Fire) – a brilliant, feel-good favourite guaranteed to get toes tapping
- Sing, Sing, Sing (Benny Goodman) – the iconic swing classic that never fails to bring the house to life
- Queen Forever – a spectacular symphonic tribute arranged by Band Sergeant David Johnson, featuring Flash Gordon, Under Pressure, Don’t Stop Me Now, Love of My Life, Fat Bottomed Girls and the legendary Bohemian Rhapsody.
- The Padstow Lifeboat – a stirring and characterful tribute to Cornwall’s proud maritime heritage
Our special guests Indigo May – Julie Kench and Meinir Ann – first met while touring the world with the Grammy-winning Swingle Singers, and have since captivated audiences internationally with their rich harmonies and distinctive vocal blend. Their performances span classical crossover, musical theatre, jazz and contemporary favourites, and their appearances with Trinity always bring something extra special to the evening.
This concert will also raise money for Parenting Special Children, Trinity Concert Band’s charity partner for 2026, supporting families of children and young people with special educational needs across Berkshire.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or discovering Trinity Concert Band for the first time, Sounds of Summer promises a warm welcome, wonderful music and a fantastic evening out in the heart of Wokingham.

Meet Indigo May
Former members of the Grammy-winning Swingle Singers, Julie Kench and Meinir Ann have captivated audiences around the world with their breathtaking harmonies and remarkable versatility.
Performing together as Indigo May, they combine classical crossover, musical theatre, jazz and contemporary favourites to create an unforgettable concert experience. Their stunning vocal blend has made them regular headline artists aboard leading international cruise lines including Cunard, P&O, Saga and Princess, as well as favourites with audiences here at Trinity Concert Band.
This summer we’re delighted to welcome Indigo May back to perform with us once again.
Meet Meinir and Julie below.
Meinir Ann
Welsh soprano Meinir Ann has enjoyed an international career spanning opera, musical theatre, jazz and close harmony singing. Alongside her time with the Swingle Singers, she has appeared in London's West End, toured throughout the UK and South Africa, and performed extensively in Australia. She has recorded with several acclaimed ensembles and orchestras and was honoured to perform the Welsh National Anthem before the 2012 Australia v Wales rugby international in Melbourne.
Julie Kench
Julie Kench studied at Trinity College of Music, London, where she was awarded the prestigious Ricordi Opera Prize. Her career has included leading operatic roles such as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Despina in Così fan tutte and Giovanna in Rigoletto. During her five years with the Swingle Singers she toured internationally and collaborated with composer and beatboxer Shlomo on the live vocal soundtrack for Alfred Hitchcock's silent film Downhill.

Accessibility
We know that some of our customers have specific mobility issues, disabilities or other needs. It is important to us that you are as comfortable as possible at our concerts, so we strive to be as accessible as possible to all.
Free Companion Tickets for Carers
Our admission policy admits one necessary companion, or carer, of a disabled visitor free of charge, on request, while the standard admission fee applies to the disabled visitor. Companion tickets must be reserved in advance via our box office.
Accessible Parking
Although there are no designated disabled parking spaces for the church, we recommend that anyone requiring disabled parking uses the car park opposite The Cornerstone on Norreys Avenue. It is a short one minute walk to the church.
Toilets
An accessible toilet is available inside the church building.
Seating
We are happy to reserve seats for those with limited mobility and arrange spaces for wheelchair users with seats for companions.

Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. Please let us know when booking your tickets so we can offer appropriate seating where your dog can remain with you during the concert or, if you’d prefer, we will be happy to look after your dog in the foyer while you enjoy the performance.

Tickets purchased online will be emailed to you directly. The QR code on the tickets will be scanned on your arrival so you will need to print them at home or show them on your phone. If neither of these are an option for you, please contact our box office who will arrange for your tickets to be collected on the door.
