Reading, UK – [Sunday 16th June 2024] – Trinity Concert Band, a renowned community wind band and registered charity, is thrilled to announce an Oscars-themed concert taking place on Saturday 21st September 2024 at the prestigious Reading University Great Hall. The event promises an evening of cinematic splendour, featuring music from films that have either won or been nominated for an Academy Award.
The program will include stirring scores from an array of iconic films such as Lincoln, The Lion King, West Side Story, Avatar, The Lord of the Rings, Exodus, Out of Africa, Star Wars, and La La Land, among others. This diverse selection of music will transport the audience through the magical worlds of some of cinema’s most beloved stories.
Trinity Concert Band is dedicated to fostering community through the power of music. This special concert will support their chosen local charity for 2024, Stepping Stones DS, an organization committed to helping individuals with Down Syndrome realise their potential. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Stepping Stones DS, supporting their vital work within the community.
