2015 Christmas Meal

A great night in Miller and Carter steak restaurant in Reading with delicious food, and lots of fun with the modelling balloons (a wide variety of dogs, flowers and even an aeroplane).

2014 Annual Workshop Curry

We had a fantastic day of music making under the baton of ex-Director of Music for the RAF, Rob Wiffin, where we rehearsed pieces for our next concert on 26th April. This was followed by a well deserved curry!

2013 Pub Quiz

A very successful evening at the pub quiz in the George Hotel…we WON!

2011 Christmas Lunch

Members of TCB enjoyed a very tasty Christmas lunch at Sindlesham Mill on Sunday!

2011 – Lower Brass Barbecue

A group of Lower Brass players enjoyed a barbecue at Stephen Kerry’s house.

2011 – Band Workshop

Trinity’s players, along with a few guests, again came up trumps in their annual all-day workshop (the fourth the band has held). Also as the band, like an army, marches on its stomach, the breaks provided an opportunity for gastronomic indulgence! Both our conductors were known to the band, having led workshops before.  David Cole was a Director of Music in The Royal Marines Band Service for 20 years and is presently Director of Music with The Royal British Legion, while Andrew Porter is about to start his military conducting career being in his final year of the Bandmasters’ course at Kneller Hall. For the final performance, the band was joined by some of the band’s patrons who were treated to a short concert comprising “Espana”, “Mars” and “Sea Songs”, bringing to an end a challenging but most enjoyable day.

2010 – Christmas Lunch

On Sunday 5 December, several members of the band, together with other family members, enjoyed their annual Christmas get together. This year, the band ventured to the restaurant at the Sindlesham Moat House Hotel for a tasty three course lunch. We were serenaded by a brilliant pianist who caused much envy with his seemingly endless repertoire…all without reference to written music.  Food choices ranged from traditional Christmas fodder to vegetarian delights.  We ate heartily, donning hats from the Christmas crackers. It was a lovely afternoon, and put everyone in the Christmas mood, ready for the forthcoming Christmas performances.

2010 – Christmas Carols

Some of our band members braved the cold weather, and donned their Christmas hats to play Christmas carols outside Marks and Spencer in Reading. The crowds were thin to begin with, but they picked up towards the end of the two hour session. Fun was had by all, and the total sum raised was £81.61.

2010 – Girls Night Out

A group of girls from the band, including previous members, had a night out at the Cunning Man in Reading. It was lovely being able to catch up with people that we had not seen for a while, and Ursula had even travelled from Southampton to be there. We had a lovely meal, with lots of food (Jo can vouch for that), and plenty of WINE!!. There was plenty of gossip (as you can imagine), and we had lots of laughs.
