The band returned to the beautiful Great Hall at Reading University on 29th September for the performance of our Film Music Gala, an evening full of some of the best film scores of all time! It’s not the first time that we’ve performed at this venue, but it was certainly the largest audience we’ve had there, with 218 tickets sold!
We like to remember special events like this so were very excited to have award-winning photographer Alan Smith taking photos of the us throughout both our rehearsal and concert. Alan worked as a film editor with the BBC News for 25 years. In the course of his work he travelled extensively, working in many war zones and areas of tribulation. This work ignited a concern for people in developing countries, and led to his involvement with the charity Kisiizi Partners, which supports Christian Hospitals in developing countries. We were happy to support his charity with a collection at the concert and a donation on behalf of the band. To find out more and donate to Kisiizi Partners visit http://www.kisiizipartners.org.uk/.
