Exultate by Samuel R. Hazo: performed by Trinity Concert Band at the National Concert Band Festival finals on 8 April 2018 at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. This piece by John Williams, arranged by Robert Smith, was the first item played at our concert in the Great Hall at Reading University on 21st October 2017. It includes themes from the films Superman and Empire of the Sun. The conductor is Paul Speed.

2017 You’ve got a Friend in Me (Sax Quartet)

This piece by Randy Newman was arranged for saxophones by Marilla and was recorded at our concert in the Great Hall at Reading University on 21st October 2017. It is played by four of the band’s saxophone team.

2017 Chariots of Fire

This piece by Vangelis, was played at our concert in the Great Hall at Reading University on 21st October 2017. It includes themes from the film. The conductor is Paul Speed.

2017 Four Dances from West Side Story

This piece by Leonard Bernstein, arranged by Ian Polster was the played at our concert in the Great Hall at Reading University on 21st October 2017. The video includes 3 of the 4 dances – Scherzo, Mambo and Cha-cha.

Star Wars Saga

This piece by John Williams, arranged by Johan de Meij, was the last item played at our concert in the Great Hall at Reading University on 21st October 2017. This music from the first three films is the most stirring but also included haunting melodies like Leia’s and Yoda’s themes.

2017 Acrobat Challenge

Here’s our contribution to the Acrobat Challenge to help raise much needed funds for Stephen Sykes, a 26 year old trombonist who is fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma. He needs to self-fund the next stage of his treatment at a cost of £90,000. We have donated a further £130 towards this, collected at our rehearsal last night. This was the main piece at our concert on the 1st October 2016 in the Great Hall at Reading University. Paul Speed (our MD) handed the baton to John Sayer whilst he played the concerto.

2015 Puszta: Four Gypsy Dances - Movement 2

This is the 2nd movement of this piece by Jan Van der Roost, performed at our concert on 3rd October 2015 at the Great Hall, Reading University. It starts with a beautiful flute solo played by Jo Neale.

2016 Puszta: Four Gypsy Dances - Movement 4

Trinity Concert Band performed Jan Van der Roost’s ‘Puszta’ at their concert on 3rd October 2015 at the Reading University Great Hall. This is the final movement of the four movement suite of dances written in 1987 for wind band.

2015 Pre-Goodman Rag

This piece by Malcolm Arnold was played at our concert on 3rd October 2015. The soloist is Jay Bevan, the principle clarinet with the Central Band of the Royal British Legion. This arrangement is by Guy Woolfenden.
